Chinese shares closed mixed on Wednesday as the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index gained 0.12 percent, or 2.70 points, to end at 2,324.02.
The Shenzhen Component Index dipped 0.39 percent, or 37.29 points, to 9,404.40.
