Chinese shares closed mixed Wednesday, as the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index lost 0.11 percent, or 2.44 points, to end at 2,225.3.
The Shenzhen Component Index rose 0.05 percent, or 4.01 points, to 8,964.47.
