Chinese shares extend gains on Thursday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.3 percent, or 6.87 points, to end at 2,324.24.
The Shenzhen Component Index climbed 0.09 percent, or 8.32 points, to finish at 9,326.29.
