Chinese stocks closed mixed on Monday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.38 percent, or 9.13 points, to end at 2,428.15.
The Shenzhen Component Index dipped 0.61 percent, or 59.46 points, to 9,760.83.
