Chinese stocks close higher on Friday

Chinese stocks closed higher on Friday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 1.41 percent, or 33.60 points, to 2,419.02.

The Shenzhen Component Index gained 1.58 percent, or 152.62 points, to close at 9,820.29.
