Chinese shares closed higher on Wednesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index gaining 0.25 percent, or 5.77points, to end at 2,320.91.
The Shenzhen Component Index moved up 0.13 percent, or 11.95 points, to 9,548.31.
