Chinese shares closed sharply higher on Friday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 4.32 percent, or 89.15 points, to end at 2,150.63.
The Shenzhen Component Index finished at 8,530.90, up 4.40 percent, or 359.55 points.
