Chinese stocks erased Thursday's losses to end higher on Friday, buoyed by insurance and liquor shares.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.58 percent, or 11.77 points, to finish at 2,027.38. The Shenzhen Component Index closed at 8,114.74, up 67.22 points, or 0.84 percent.
