Chinese stocks opened lower on Thursday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index opening at 2,045.46, down 9.96 points, or 0.48 percent, from the previous close.
The Shenzhen Component Index opened at 8,231.11, down 52.45 points, or 0.63 percent.
