Chinese stocks closed lower Monday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index declining 0.35 percent, or 7.27 points, to finish at 2,058.94.
The Shenzhen Component Index closed at 8,376.56, down 38.3 points, or 0.46 percent.
