Chinese stocks closed lower on Thursday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index dropping 0.81 percent, or 17.07 points, to finish at 2,102.87.
The Shenzhen Component Index closed at 8,665.09, down 108.59 points, or 1.24 percent.
