China stocks close higher Wednesday

Chinese stocks closed higher on Wednesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index rising 0.22 percent, or 4.71 points, to close at 2,119.94.

The Shenzhen Component Index closed at 8,773.68, up 0.34 percent, or 29.82 points.
