Chinese stocks closed lower on Tuesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.19 percent, or 3.9 points, to finish at 2,029.29.
The Shenzhen Component Index closed at 8,284.25, down 26.69 points, or 0.32 percent.
