Woman dead after fall onto subway tracks in Beijing

A middle-aged woman fell onto the tracks of a subway station in Beijing and died on Thursday morning, reported Beijing Times.

The accident happened at 10:42am at Muxidi Station of Subway Line One, forcing a running train to abrupt stop. The passenger was then carried onto the platform after power was cut off. Train operation resumed at 10:55am.

Further investigation is underway and it is unclear whether the death was an accident, suicide or homicide.
