E China official investigated under bribery suspicion

Wen Lin, former deputy director of water resources in east China's Jiangxi Province, is under investigation for alleged bribery, according to the provincial procuratorate on Friday.

In April, the provincial discipline inspection commission announced that Wen was suspected of serious violations of discipline and law. Wen was removed from his post in June and has been detained pending further investigation.
