Cao Lixin, an official with the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI) of the Communist Party of China, is being investigated for suspected serious violation of disciplines and laws.

Cao is a disciplinary inspector, according to a statement published on CCDI's website Monday.

Earlier, Wei Jian, director of CCDI's No. 4 office of discipline inspection and supervision, had come under investigation for suspected serious violation of disciplines and laws.
