Former provincial official under investigation

A senior political advisor in central China's Hubei province is under investigation for suspected "serious disciplinary and law violations," according to the country's discipline watchdog.

Chen Baihuai formerly served as vice chairman of the Hubei Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, China's top political advisory body, according to the Communist Party of China Central Commission for Discipline Inspection.
