Pollution level remains serious in 7 China cities

Latest readings show air pollution levels remain serious in seven Chinese cities.

The eastern coastal city of Jinan replaces Beijing's neighbor Shijiazhuang as the most polluted. After Shijiazhuang, five other northern cities round out the list: Handan, Zhengzhou, Zibo, Xi'an and Shenyang.

Their Air Pollution Index, or API, read over 300, the level for serious pollution. Beijing's API has dropped to 184 and is off the top ten lists for now.
