Mainland welcomes Taiwan cultural chief: spokesman

The Chinese mainland welcomes Mrs. Lung Ying-tai to visit the mainland in proper capacities, an official said Wednesday.

Yang Yi, spokesman for the State Council's Taiwan Affairs Office, said the mainland holds an open attitude in reaching an agreement with Taiwan on cross-strait cultural exchanges.

Lung Ying-tai is a renowned writer and currently the head of Taiwan's cultural affairs authority.
