Chengguan burnt in demolition row

Two men who allegedly splashed alcohol and set fire to a chengguan (urban management officer) in a brawl over demolition in Anheqiao, Haidian district, were arrested by the police Monday, the Beijing Times reported Thursday.

Liu Wenyi, captain of the urban management officer team in Qinglong Bridge, Haidian district, was ignited by the two suspects, owners of the illegally built house which was set to be demolished. He was burnt on the face, chest and arms, the report said.
