Wuhan (CNS) -- Shanghai General Motors will invest seven billion yuan to establish a production base in Jiangxia District, Wuhan City, with a yearly production capability for 300,000 vehicles, it announced on June 6 at the founding ceremony. The base is expected to be up and running by 2014.

The Wuhan plant will devote 2.32 square kilometers to house four major workshops for chinese sultry hotties.stamping, body making, painting and final assembly, all supported by ancillary facilities.

The plant will comply with high standards for environmental protection and be outfitted with high-tech equipment. Products will range across categories such as medium and small sized vehicles, SUV, new-energy cars and other types.

A parallel construction on a 3.5-square-kilometers plot is designated for parts supply and logistics support. Its design and planning will echo that of the main plant.
