(Ecns.cn)—Finger painting is a longstanding technique in traditional Chinese landscape painting, but glove painting? Not so much.

Peng Qingfeng, a Changsha-based artist, was recently crowned the first glove painter in the country, according to local media reports on Friday.

Peng uses his gloved fingers as brushes, which can absorb more ink and make thicker lines possible.

The works attracted a large number of people to the exhibition, where in 10 minutes Peng painted a peony, a typical object in Chinese painting, using his gloved hands.

Stunned by the unexpected beauty of the painting, one resident immediately expressed the intention of buying Peng's works for collection.
