The "caveman," 64-year-old Zhang Yanlin, told the newspaper that it is in this place, where neither electricity nor running gas is available, that he has enjoyed a life of "another realm."
Normally, Zhang wakes up early in the morning and walks to the foot of the mountain to tend his vegetables, accompanied by his dog. Most of the time, he sends extra food grown by his bare hands to local villagers below the mountainside.
"I don't think you can get just how happy I have been on this remote mountain," Zhang sighed to those who came to visit him.
